This is actually a very nice place to come for lunch during the middle of the week. It's pretty slow, as most of the golfers are out golfing, but gets busier later in the afternoon as they finish the 18th hole.
Service is right away right there as we were the only ones eating. Private restaurant equals a safe restaurant!
The food is a small menu and limited, but the items are quite tasty. The fried wings are dinky though, the burgers and sandwiches are very good.

Looking for a new place to eat at in Carson City can sometimes be challenging. Especially if you want great food and great service as well. Well grab your golf clubs, or maybe not, they don't require them to eat there, and head over to Mallards at the Empire Ranch Golf Course. The menu is just large enough to satisfy most peoples desire for a great breakfast or lunch meal without being lost with too many selections which usually results in a lack of overall quality of the food. The daily specials are great, and very reasonably priced! Parking is easy, and the Sierra Nevada Snow covered peaks backdrop coupled with the beautiful green golf course with Pine trees, Aspens, and oak trees all thrown together and paralleling the scenic Carson River. Most beautiful on the River golf course in Northern Nevada! The employee's will treat you like family! It's definitely worth your time and money to try it out! You won't be disappointed! Warren

I played the Empire Ranch Golf Course, and after the round had some time before my family came back to pick me up. I walked into Mallards, and was greeted by a very friendly bartender/attendant/waitress (one person). The food was excellent, the drinks were very good, and the service was attentive and friendly. I could not have asked for a nicer post round finish.
